Dr Victoria is a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in neurodisability, mitochondrial disorders and medical education. Dr Victoria has worked in the NHS for almost 25 years, including 5 years as a Consultant Paediatrician in neurodisability at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She continues as Clinical Lead for the NHS Highly Specialised Services for Rare Mitochondrial Disorders in Oxford, one of only 3 nationally commissioned services in the UK. She is a Principal Investigator for the Oxford Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK) Centre in Oxford and the Wellcome Trust Centre for Mitochondrial Disorders UK (MitoCohort Study), and also serves as a Medical Advisor for The Lily Foundation Charity.
Dr Victoria was part of the Oxford Community Paediatrics multi-disciplinary autism diagnostic service for children under 6 years and also ran a weekly clinic for children with neurodevelopmental difficulties and/or complex neurological disorders. She previously acted as school doctor for Fitzwaryn and Bishopswood Special Educational Needs schools.
Dr Victoria has a keen interest in medical education and has an active role in supervising paediatric trainees in the Thames Valley deanery and as a clinical tutor for the Paediatric Neurodisability Diploma at Sheffield University. She is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics in Oxford and is also part of the British Paediatric Neurology Association working group for the development of tone management and movement disorders courses.
Dr Victoria was appointed as Medical Director of Azalea Healthcare in 2022.
